Toner Cartridge Replacement on your Laser Printer

Your laser printer will run out of toner eventually. Learn to replace toner cartridge in your laser printer faster so you can get back to work immediately. Here's some few steps.

It may also work with other laser printer models: Brother MFC-7860dw, brother mfc-9440cn, brother mfc-9840cdw, brother hl-2280dw, brother dcp-9040cn, brother mfc 7840w, mfc-9970cdw toner, brother 9970cdw, brother mfc-7360n
  • Open the printer door to access the toner cartridges.
  • Unhook the lock holding the cartridge in place.
  • Pull the locking mechanism out towards you.
  • Remove the cartridge by slightly pulling it up and slide it out towards you.
  • Insert the new Toner Cartridge by sliding gently.
  • Push the locking mechanism back in to set the new toner in place.
  • It should snap in place securely. Double check before closing the printer door. 
  • Your printer is now ready for printing. Some models will ask you to print a test page. Go ahead if you want to do so. Click "OK" to print a test page in order to determine if the new toner cartridge is functional.
